Privacy Policy

RankSiteGeo (ranksitegeo.com) is a local SEO service operated by Technocrat, based in the United Kingdom. For the personal information described below, Technocrat is the data controller.

We collect only what we need to run the service:

• Business details you give us: business name, phone number, address (or service areas for a service area business), website, city, state, ZIP code and business category.
• Your email address, used for your account and to send you your audit results and onboarding steps.
• Account information from our sign-in provider, such as your name and user ID.
• Results of the services you use: rank scan results, directory listings and their status, and the pages we publish for you.
• Basic technical information, such as your IP address, used to run the free audit and to prevent abuse.

• Rank tracking: we use your business name, keyword and location to check where you appear on Google Maps and to show you the results.
• Citation submission: we submit your business name, address, phone number and website to online business directories so your details match everywhere.
• Authority and content pages: we create Google documents and blog posts about your business that link to your website.
• Emailing you your results, progress and account notices.
• Running, securing and improving RankSiteGeo.

We do not sell your personal information.

We share only the information each service needs to do its job. Information you ask us to publish (for example, in a business directory or on a blog) becomes public.

• Bright Data: runs the Google search checks behind your rank scans.
• BrightLocal: submits your business details to online directories.
• Google: Google Maps and Search data, and the Google Drive, Docs and Sheets we create for your Authority Stack.
• Clerk: sign-in and account security.
• Anthropic (Claude): writes article text for the pages we publish for you, using your business name, city and service.
• Resend: sends our emails to you.
• Mapbox and OpenStreetMap: show and look up the maps in your rank results.
• Blogging platforms such as WordPress, Blogger and Tumblr: where your published articles appear.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy and handles data under its own terms.

Your business information is stored in our Supabase database, which runs on a private server that we control. Access is restricted to our team and our services. Login credentials issued by directory partners are stored encrypted.

We handle personal information in line with the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR. Our lawful bases are performing our contract with you (providing the service) and our legitimate interests in running and securing it. You have the right to:

• access the personal information we hold about you;
• have it corrected or deleted;
• restrict or object to how we use it;
• receive a copy of it in a portable format; and
• complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you are unhappy with how we handle it.

To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We keep your information while your account is active and delete it when you ask us to, unless the law requires us to keep it. Information already published on third-party sites may need to be removed with those sites.

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and secure. We do not use advertising cookies.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
